Canada Bound

Well it's been awhile since I've posted and I know you've all been giving out to me for not posting but I've had other priorities these last few months ...like not working, playing games and generally doing as little as possible. However all that's about to change... In the coming weeks I'll be leaving Ireland having accepted a job in Toronto Canada as an IT consultant with what seems like a decent crew of lads.. Basing this on the fact that they've already gone on the beer with me twice and they held their own :)
So yes I'm off.. Leaving Ireland, my family and friends and all the other crap I've built up over the years.. Clean slate, fresh start in fairness I'm looking forward to it...
Getting yourself organized for leaving a country you've lived in your whole life is not an easy task especially in Ireland.. Closing accounts, changing addresses, dealing with various aspects of our sleeeeepy fecking government departments.. I swear to god I called the Tax Man (Dickhead) the other day to see if he and I were all square and all I got was some dozy sleepy dickhead from the arse end Kildare (Athy) wondering why I'd awoken him from his pleasant dream of shagging sheep,, I actually had to ask if I was bothering him to which replied "Ah sure I suppose I can find out now" !!! Oh sorry you lazy civil servant tosser!!..

Anyway moving on
Toronto looks like a fine city in fairness having spent a week there checking out the place before fully committing to the move.. Decent Food Markets for class food so I can get my cooking game on again plus tons of classy shops and bars so plenty to do.
The lads I'll be working for were eager to get a better feel for me also and immediately brought me for pints and I just off the plane..plus a final fancy dinner followed by more pints before I left.. I think I passed their screening and in fairness they passed mine.. no bullshit and call a spade a spade.. Sweet
So I'm in the final stages of clearing up everything here with shipping arranged and not needed stuff fired in the nearest skip.. It's amazing the amount of crap you build up over the years,, I've had 4 houses in 10 years plus numerous rentals before that and I've been carrying around alot of crap since then.. so ruthless Shay came out and skipped the lot of it.. Down now to one folder of essential "Do Not Throw Out" stuff.... I feel cleansed :)
Anyway that's it I'm off.. I'll post again before I leave...
