So Canada SoFar

Well it's been a little over three weeks but I'm finally getting settled in Canada. First things first I've got myself sorted with a sweet apartment near Yonge and Finch in Toronto. Very nice two bedroom place with plenty of space for visitors. Check out the pictures here

The guys at CMS Consulting are a sound bunch of guys and well up for a bit of craic. They work hard and play hard at the weekends, so much for coming here to take it easy for a while. The company is owned by a bloke called Brian Bourne a well respected member of the consulting community in Canada and a major player in the Security arena, Very smart but treats his team very well and has a very good vision from where CMS is going. My Manager is Derek Cullen well respected member of the consulting world in Canada and is going out of his way to hire the best people he can to meet the growing demands being placed on the company for their people..
As for the rest of the team they are all sound having met them all at the first staff meeting they had in months just last week. None of the formal BS I'm used to from my days in Intel so it was refreshing.

Picked myself up a sweet little car also and managed to get rid of the huge piece of crap from Hertz v6.0 Mustang what a pile of crap. I got the VW GTI 2.0L Turbo 6 speed and what a ride it is 0-60 in 5.6 seconds or so they say but I'd probably kill myself if I went this fast, Still it would be good while it lasted..

Still waiting on all my stuff to ship from Ireland which is a bit of a pain as I'm starting to miss my huge TV and all my technology but my 10MB cable is making up for that... All of season 5 of SG Atlantis downloaded in about an hour the other evening ... Jealous lads :)

Toronto is a nice city so far haven't run into any hassle yet and it's handy enough to get most places on the underground which takes about 30 minutes from my place to downtown so no need to be worrying about traffic in the mornings.
Right now I'm working out of town close to Niagara Falls so getting to see a bit of the country but mostly from the highways so far..

Missing the Guinness and the Craic in the Duck back home but I've already the tickets booked for Christmas so I'll see everyone then..
